PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

The Jefferson Transit Authority (JTA) Board will be holding Public Hearings during the regular Board meetings on Tuesday, June 27, 2016, at 1:30 pm, and Tuesday, August 15, 2017, in the Jefferson Transit Authority Boardroom located at 63 4 Corners Road, Port Townsend WA.

The purpose of the Public Hearings is to obtain public comment on the adoption of JTA’s 2017-2022 Transit Development Plan (TDP) and JTA’s 6-year State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). These documents address long and short-range priorities, capital improvements, planned significant operating changes, program funding sources, and provide a summary of 2016 Jefferson Transit operations.

A draft document is available for public review after during normal office hours at Jefferson Transit’s maintenance and administration building at 63 4 Corners Road, Port Townsend, WA 98368, or online at www.jeffersontransit.com under the drop down menu title “About JTA” and select “Transit Development Plan.”

Persons wishing to comment may do so by submitting oral testimony during the public hearings, or by submitting written comments to 63 4 Corners Road through August 15, 2017.

Notification for these Public Hearings will be advertised in the Port Townsend Leader (JTA Paper of Record) on 6/14/17, 6/21/2017, 8/02/17 and 8/09/2017 and posted on www.jeffersontransit.com on 6/08/2017.
