Jefferson Transit is working to identify ways of improving transportation options for Jefferson County residents and visitors. Jefferson Transit will be conducting a series of surveys to assess the transportation needs of the community, define future goals for transit, and evaluate our service models based on the feedback.
Jefferson Transit will conduct two surveys, each open to public feedback for 5 months. We will develop the second survey questions based off the initial survey responses, to further determine the needs of the community.
Jefferson Transit will use community events, public meetings, community venues, Jefferson Transit’s website and employers as platforms for the surveys.
We encourage participation from transit riders and non-riders alike for feedback, we want to hear from everyone on how we can improve your transportation options. To encourage participation in the survey, completed surveys will be entered for a chance to win a $25 Visa gift card.
You can participate in the survey by picking up a printed survey at our customer service locations, on board JTA vehicles, from a driver, or click here to take the survey online.

On behalf of the WSTIP (Washington State Transit Insurance Pool) Board of Directors, the staff of WSTIP would like to formally congratulate Jefferson Transit Authority as the 1st recipient of the Safety Star program representing the small member group of WSTIP.
Your employee’s hard work and dedication to safety has paid off! You have earned our praise and accolades, along with the brand new WSTIP Safety Stars Award.
What we really wanted was to recognize member transit agencies that maintained impressive and stable safety records … basically showcasing the best performing agency. We also wanted to structure the award to recognize members in all three WSTIP rating categories: small, medium and large.
So, what does this mean?
It means that your agency has been consistently a good performer in terms of agency auto losses. In fact, I would say the best performer in your size category.
