Time Correction – SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE: 5/19/2020 @ 1:30 pm


The Jefferson Transit Authority (JTA) Board will hold a Remote Special Meeting on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at 1:30PM.

This meeting is will beheld for the purpose of a Resolution of the Board of Directors of the Jefferson County Public Transportation Benefit Area, authorizing the General Manager to sign the 2020 Certifications and Assurances. Annual updates to the Certifications and Assurances are required to certify that Jefferson Transit will comply with all Federal statutes, regulations, Executive Orders, and administrative requirements applicable to grant funds applied for, and received under 49 U.S.C.

UPDATE: This meeting will also include Resolution 20-09, which authorizes the Authority Chair to sign and execute Grant Agreement PTD0191. JTA has been awarded Federal CARES Act 5311 Grant funding to allow Rural Area formula funds to be used for expenses related to a declared emergency, including funds to operate, prevent, prepare for, and respond to COVID-19.

Public Comments

SUBMITTING COMMENTS DURING COVID-19: During social distancing for the COVID-19 pandemic, citizens can submit public comments remotely to Jefferson Transit Authority by email. Emailed comments will be read aloud by staff for up to three minute’s during the meeting’s public comment period.
