Transit Advisory Group
Jefferson Transit Authority’s (JTA) Transit Advisory Group (TAG), formerly known as the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC), are volunteers representing a broad spectrum of JTA riders and stakeholder groups within the Jefferson County boundary. The TAG mission is “to advocate for public transit and to serve as a resource to the Jefferson Transit Authority Board in accomplishing Jefferson Transit Authority’s mission and goals.” The Advisory Group reviews and make recommendations to the JTA Authority Board about significant policy decisions as requested by the JTA Board and the General Manager. This can include major service changes, fare policy, the development of public and customer facilities, major service policy changes, public and customer relations of JTA.

Become a Member
TAG members can serve up to three two-year terms and must be willing to attend committee meetings. If you’re interested in becoming a member, please print and complete this application, then email it or mail it to the listed address . Once it’s received, the JTA Board and the TAG will review your application as openings become available.

Attend a Meeting
The TAG meets at 3:30 pm bimonthly, January, March, May, July, September, and November on the first Wednesday of the month. The public is welcome to attend all TAG meetings and a portion of each is set aside for public comment. Join us!
TAG meetings will be hybrid, with the option to watch virtually or attend in person.
