Rider Alert: Limiting the Spread of Coronavirus

March 10th, 2020 by Lisa Bradley

Limiting the Spread of Coronavirus

Jefferson Transit is taking steps to limit the spread of coronavirus through its operations.  An environmental services company has been contracted to perform decontaminate fogging in the fixed route coaches.  All other passenger vehicles will be disinfected by hand as they return from service with an antiviral solution that kills coronavirus.  Date log trackers have been established to monitor the frequency of fogging and other cleaning services performed on each vehicle individually.

Jefferson Transit has supplied its front-line staff with gloves and sanitizer wipes to reduce their risk of infection from germs.

Posters from the Washington State Department of Health on How to Stop the Spread of Germs have been posted in shelters and on buses.

Jefferson Transit continues to monitor the alerts from the Jefferson County Public Health and encourages our customers to follow the directions of public health officials.
